East Facade

mallkingfacadealmostdone.jpg

The side of the mall that really got struck by the wave of change is the east facade. The wall was visually broken up by large, powerful metal-plated legs that extend out of the wall, and they hide the brown brick well. The signs for the pharmacy and bank are clear glass, giving an organic feeling that the Uptown deserves.

The construction was nearing completion when this photo was taken.

Creativity exploded on the east facade, which faces King St. Many new ideas and interesting solutions were put forth onto the new design.
